I had been selling my images since I was 15. By the time I was 19 I thought I was pretty good. I got hired on a part time basis to carry stuff for a photographer. So in a sense all I was, was very cheap labor to carry stuff, my ability with a camera was incidental.
Since I was a child I have wanted to be a photographer, I painted makeup on my friends and created mini photo sessions in my basement during sleepovers. In 2001 I started taking photos professionally. I opened my studio in 2002 but I also enjoy shooting on location. I reside in the Midwest which gives me flexibility to travel to St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Nashville, and many other Midwest Cities for sessions. I will also travel further via plane if requested.
My shoots are very casual and are usually filled with quite a few laughs. My goal is to create a fun experience that will give my clients unique memories to have and cherish for many years. I will work hand in hand with you on all sessions to make the day flawless and stress free for you.
Besides photography, I also have a background in the salon industry. Years in a salon have given me a creative flair and an eye for hair and makeup. Mature women through teens will love the pampering of an all out glamour day consisting of hair, make up, wardrobe options, and magazine style portraits. You can add hair and or makeup services to ANY shoot for an additional fee. Seniors love the ability to have more than one styled look at their session.
Mentoring has become a passion of mine. I have been speaking at national conferences since 2016 and also do occasional private workshops and fashion shoot outs. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with creatives in hopes to improve our industry and inspire others.
Fashion shooting is my creative outlet where I can style my subjects and create full concept looks. I typically do the hair and makeup for these sessions as well. Feel free to browse my model gallery for concept and fashion works I have done. You can also implement a stylized look into your own session.

ABOUT ME
When I opened my studio I had dreams of incorporating my HMUA skills and creative edits to create amazing glamour portraits for women. Eventually this stemmed into a passion for quality boudoir in a safe, non-intimidating environment. Something that I thought our industry was lacking. I now teach boudoir classes and workshops in hopes of spreading my vision to other photographers throughout the country.
Editing is a key role in quality boudoir, I have spent over 20 years honing my editing skills to create a natural look that's still you, but how you WANT to see yourself in the mirror. I adjust my editing to suit my clients' desires. Some want to look natural, some want to look like a VS angel, I do not judge either way.
Satisfied clients are my number one goal in photo sessions!
I found Kim at Vogue Portrait Studio when searching online to boudoir photos. I am a 48 year old woman and wanted photos for myself and of course my husband. I interviewed several companies and found Kim to be the most professional experienced photographer. After the session she showed me the raw pictures without photoshopping me. She knew the best positions to make me look my best! The photoshopping kept me looking like myself. Just removed wrinkles and dimples. Kim listened to what I wanted! It was a great experience.

Worked with Kim on a Dudeoir session/photo book as a gift for my wife for Valentine’s Day. The experience was great and my wife absolutely loved the gift. Highly recommend her!

I absolutely loved my pictures! Kim did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and had an array of images to chose from.
